Top selling tips revealed in Iberostar’s For Travel Agents, by Travel Agents series

Gaining valuable insights into Iberostar Beachfront Resorts’ properties has never been easier thanks to the brand’s new agent-led video series, For Travel Agents, by Travel Agents. The collection of agent-fronted videos unveil first-hand knowledge, insider tips and hotel facts. The aim? To help agents confidently match clients to the right property across Iberostar Beachfront Resorts’ diverse portfolio.

The first eight videos in this series explore some of the Spanish hotel brand’s most popular properties, including Iberostar Waves Royal Andalus in southern Spain and Iberostar Selection Sábila in Tenerife. The videos offer details about two of Iberostar’s three segments: premium offering Iberostar Selection and laid-back Iberostar Waves, with luxury JOIA by Iberostar being the other.

With the launch of For Travel Agents, by Travel Agents, travel professionals now have access to a dedicated hub for the resort videos, which touch upon the various accommodation types, key amenities, activities and top tips for selling. Here are four of Iberostar’s videos to give you a flavour of its new For Travel Agents, by Travel Agents initiative.

Iberostar Waves Royal Andalus

Situated on the dreamy white sands of La Barrosa Beach on Spain’s south coast, Iberostar Waves Royal Andalus is a family favourite. Clients can take a dip in the Atlantic or the hotel’s two pools, indulge in a Turkish bath at SPA Sensations and explore nearby Cádiz and Jerez. Seven restaurants and bars celebrate Andalusian and Mediterranean dishes – the fresh fish from the Cádiz coastline is always a showstopper.

Checking in with her son Max, agent Sarah Bahous from London-based SB Luxury Travel shares what the hotel has to offer.

Sarah Bahous’ top tips:

  • Iberostar Waves Royal Andalus caters for golf lovers and families alike. Encourage clients to tee off at the resort’s own Real Novo Sancti Petri golf course, designed by five-time major-winning golfer Seve Ballesteros.
  • Young families should book the Sea-View Family Room with its two bedrooms and close proximity to the Viking-themed Aqua Splash zone.
  • Families can relax together at the resort’s SPA Sensations, with the spa having certain hours designated as dedicated Chic and Child sessions.

Iberostar Selection Sábila

For lovers of sun, sand and sea, adult-only Iberostar Selection Sábila offers a complete recharge on Tenerife’s vibrant Costa Adeje coast. There are seven restaurants and bars, a spa with indulgent hydrotherapy and pintxos are always a welcoming treat at Gourmet Market, the brand’s unique central food marketplace with seven culinary stalls. In the video below, agent Scott Murray from Inverness-based Murray Travel reports back from his trip to the sun-drenched island.

Scott Murray’s top tips:

  • For clients dreaming of seclusion, The Priority Location Beachfront room has stunning ocean views with a private terrace and Bali bed.
  • The resort’s Star Prestige programme offers a personalised check-in with a dedicated reception and a rooftop pool with reserved sunbeds.
  • Encourage clients to make the most of the hotel’s Fit & Fun programme, with its packed schedule of yoga, tai chi and Zumba.

Iberostar Waves Paraíso Beach and Iberostar Selection Paraíso Maya Suites

In Mexico, Iberostar Waves Paraíso Beach and Iberostar Selection Paraíso Maya Suites sit within the Riviera Maya coastline, surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Encourage families and young couples to book Iberostar Waves Paraíso Beach for its energetic activity calendar – there’s always something different going on, with everything from music shows to kayaking.

Found in the same complex as Iberostar Waves Paraíso Beach, Iberostar Selection Paraíso Maya Suites offers higher-end gourmet experiences with its 21 restaurants and bars and larger, more spacious accommodation. Justice Parker, from Chicago-based The Explorers Group, shares her favourite moments from her visit.

Justice Parker’s top tips:

  • Encourage clients to explore the Pueblo Paraíso mall, situated within the complex, for a bite to eat and to browse through the boutiques.
  • At Iberostar Selection Paraíso Maya Suites, suggest the Suite Star Family room (which can accommodate a family of five) with its a semi-private pool and in-room children’s activities.
  • Suggest clients at Iberostar Selection Paraíso Maya Suites to take advantage of the daily one-hour complimentary non-motorised watersports sessions.
